Contour workshop

To better understand contours and relate the map to ground

Starts 18 May
25 British pounds
Deadmans Hill Car Park

Available spots

Service Description

Participants should join this workshop to gain a deeper understanding of how contour lines represent the landscape, making it easier to navigate and interpret maps. By learning about key features like reentrants, spurs, shoulders, cols, valleys, and ridges, they'll improve their ability to read terrain, plan routes, and make informed decisions when out in the field. It's a valuable skill for anyone involved in outdoor activities like hiking, orienteering, or land management, as it helps with better route planning, risk assessment, and overall terrain awareness.
