The Welsh 3000's

The Ultimate Welsh hiking challenge. To climb the Welsh 3000's is a massive achievement and one to be incredibly proud of. The terrain will alter and differ from day to day, but the views, challenge and feeling at the end is worth every step forwards, and every step upwards.

The Welsh 3000s are the 15 mountains in Wales that have a height of 3000 feet or more.

All of the peaks are situated in Snowdonia National park and are spread across three mountain ranges: The Snowdon Massif, The Glyderau, and The Carneddau.

The Days

The Snowdon Massif

1. Crib Goch, 3028ft
2. Garnedd Ugain, 3494ft
3. Snowdon, 3559ft

This will either be the first day, or the second day, based on preference of North - South or South - North

The Glyderau

4. Elidir Fawr, 3031ft
5. Y Garn, 3106ft
6. Glyder Fawr, 3284ft
7. Glyder Fach, 3261ft
8. Tryfan, 3011ft

This will be the middle day, and an ascent of the North Ridge of Tryfan will be the starting point or Elidr Fawr!

The Carneddau

9. Pen yr Ole Wen, 3208ft
10. Carnedd Dafydd, 3425ft
11. Carnedd Llewelyn, 3490ft
12. Yr Elen, 3156ft
13. Foel Grach, 3202ft
14. Garnedd Gwenllian, 3038ft
15. Foel-Fras, 3090ft

This day offers some exceptional views with lovely walking. A long day, but rewarding!

Difficulty: Hard

Fitness level required: High

Experience needed: Extensive hill walking, minor scrambling (grade 1) or rock climbing.

**N.B accomodation will be booked using the local campsites. Part of the kit list will be tents and camping kit, if you need anything please let us know in advance, otherwise we can suggest areas for you.
